I finally got around to editing a generic BR station totem in a suitable editor today and have uploaded it as the blog name.
Still no closer to making this as my other layouts are taking up a bit of time.

New Pages added
Overnight I received an email from my UK contact James with some additional information concerning Pocklington.
He sent me through some extracts from Hudson's Way, which I have now incorporated in a separate 'Page' to the left. From a modelling perspective, James mentioned the LNER K3 is available from Bachmann and is very good! Likewise Bachmann produce the Ivatt 4MT (sometimes called Ivatt Class 4) and this is very good indeed. Of the diesels Bachmann produce the Class 37 and Class 40 which were typical locos for the latter part of the line's operation.
I have checked the Bachmann Branchline site to check availability of these models and I could only find the Bachmann part numbers 32-578 and 32-579 for the Ivatts. Similarly the Class 37 and 40 for the transition period might not be currently available. I might have to keep an eye out on Ebay!
James also emailed a couple of photos of Kiplingcoates signal box, which are very good. I have created a 'Page' called 'Photos' and these are now referenced there.
For those interested to know where Pocklington is I have included a diagram of the York to Beverley Line at the bottom left of the Home page.

BR Station totem answer
James replied advising definately NER, therefore Orange totem. I may have to update the blog header with a Pocklington in Orange totem when I get a chance.

BR Station Totem question
I have sent off a question to James from Eastmoor fame as to whether he knows if Pocklington's station BR totem was in the BR North Eastern Region Orange or BR Eastern Region Navy colours.

Possible rollingstock 1948-1965
The J72 and 3MTs could be used for freight services, mostly comprising cattle/sheep I would suspect from reading about the area's produce, and the fact that there is a cattle dock at the station!
You could assume as well that the 3MTs could have pulled small passenger services comprising 1-3 coaches.
