Possible rollingstock 1948-1965

The J72 and 3MTs could be used for freight services, mostly comprising cattle/sheep I would suspect from reading about the area's produce, and the fact that there is a cattle dock at the station!

You could assume as well that the 3MTs could have pulled small passenger services comprising 1-3 coaches.

The DMUs are obviously passenger services.

Possible engines for layout period 1948-1965

I have been researching what RTR engines are out in the market place and have come up with the following. I am concentrating on branchline rather than mainline, as I would expect/assume that this line within this period was downsizing and thus probably treated as a branchline.

My revised track layout

I have reviewed the Pocklington station layout from the original drawing, and basing on an assumption that quite a few of the sidings may have been removed by the end of WW2, as well as reading somewhere that most of the overhead rooves were removed from this branch's stations by nationalisation, I have come up with the following design. Thoughts appreciated.

Research so far

After a bit of online researching I have discovered a few things. Modelling the pre-grouping NER with RTR 4mm/OO gauge rollingstock is going to be virtually impossible. There are some kits out there, but most of these are in 3mm (British T scale). Post grouping LNER (1923-1948) is not much better. There are some locos and rollingstock but not a great variety. It is looking more like early BR (NER) from 1948-1965 when the station / line was closed following Dr Beechings' report. This might be a good period to model as it would be in the transition period between steam and diesel so should get a reasonable variety of rollingstock. The research continues!
